Why Perez Hilton is heartless.
Saturday, May 9th, 2009
So I definitely read Perez Hilton almost every day because he talks about some stuff I find newsworthy (and sometimes he’s funny). But for a while now I’ve been noticing how hypocritical he really is. I am mainly referring to his handling of this Rihanna situation. As you may know, there are now naked pictures of Rihanna floating all over the internet. These pictures were further exploited on PerezHilton.com. Didn’t this girl go through enough dealing with a very public domestic violence case? Not to mention having beaten up pictures of her put online as well? My feelings could best be described by a comment on PH.com by PerezPolice. And here it is:
WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU?? Look I understand it’s your job to blog about this type of stuff but how hypocritical is it that you have been blogging for months saying “oh riri get better, we love you blah blah blah” then you turn around and exploit the poor girl even more!?! You have one of the most popular websites in the world and you could have passed over this story and saved her from more humiliation …YOU’RE A DIRT BAG!!!! -PerezPolice
My thoughts exactly. Imagine the millions of people Perez could have prevented from seeing these pictures if he hadn’t posted them. It’s your job to report the news, not exploit celebrities and push them to a point of complete humiliation/breakdown. I just had to speak my mind. Heartless.
How about you use your influence positively (which you definitely are capable of doing) rather than posting pictures of people’s breasts, dicks, asses, and vaginas? Disgusting.
Jessica Simpson in June 2009 Vanity Fair.

Does anyone remember Jessica Simpson’s Newlyweds/”With You” success? I remember how the show completely changed the outlook of Jessica’s In This Skin album. So basically I’m a fan. Doesn’t matter how “fat” she is/was (are you kidding me with that bullshit by the way? She was never fat and some people are just assholes). Anyway, here’s a hot picture of Jessica and a great new interview from the June 2009 issue of Vanity Fair. It’s a fun read. Holler.
On Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera: My album was different. I released a ballad first. I wasnt dancing and doing that whole thing. I wanted to set myself apart. But I was always third runner-up.
On Ex-Husband Nick Lachey and whether or not “Newlyweds” affected their marriage: I have not spoken to him in years. [As for the show,] in all honesty, I believe it did not affect our marriage. Because we enjoyed watching those episodes, and that will always be a time I cherish. It made me understand what marriage is, what love is, what commitment is.
On whether new boyfriend Tony Romo has seen episodes of “Newlyweds”: A couple episodes. He thought I was cute.”
On media criticism: When it comes to media criticism, that’s just something I have had to train myself — literally train myself to ignore. I mean, the way people make it sound, I should have never been singing in the first place… It comes with what I do, and I know that every day the media’s going to challenge me, is going to want to bring me down. But I feel like I’m at such a place that I own myself, and it’s authentic. I own that authentic part of myself, and none of those words are harsh enough to make me believe them. I can’t imagine saying some of the things people have said about me about anybody else.
On her relationship with dad/manager, Joe Simpson: I can talk to my dad like he’s my manager, and put ‘Dad’ on the back burner. We’ve been doing it since I was 13. So, at this point, we’re in a good rhythm. A lot of people find it strange, but it’s the only way I know. And I don’t care to know another way, because it suits me. And we’ve done a pretty dang good job.
On early boyfriends and thoughts on marriage: It was what we all wanted. Go to college, get married, and have babies. It was my way of thinking. At 16, every boyfriend I had I was going to marry.
On faith and God: I’m spiritual. I live off the faith that has been instilled in me, that has never left. I’ve never let a stumbling block actually make me fall… We all go through trials, but not one thing has ever made me question God. I have a great relationship with God. I can talk to him, get mad at him, frustrated with him. But, ultimately, my faith is what defines me.
In every life we have some trouble. When you worry you make it double. Don’t worry, be happy.

Thursday, May 7th, 2009Just saw Wolverine and 17 Again! Loves them.
Sunday, May 3rd, 2009I did something today that I haven’t done since high school. I just saw Wolverine and 17 Again back to back (last time it was one of the Harry Potters and one of the Shreks). To start off, I really enjoyed both movies and the lead males in both movies were awesome. And there is nothing wrong with me saying that either. Oh and also, I saw this movie with Rei and Libby and they both thought that Hugh Jackman and Zac Efron were very hot. At all times. And I respectfully agree.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine: You know that this is essentially a prequel to the X-Men films right? So even if you haven’t seen any of the X-Men films, it’s not like you’ll be lost. In fact, it may just make you want to see the films before this (like it did me). This movie was just a really good action movie. Great effects. Not crazy long. Love story. A bit sad. One of the best superhero fighting scenes I’ve seen in a while. I know a lot of my friends said they didn’t like Wolverine, but I enjoyed myself very much. It was also really nice to see the X-Men story, which I’ve heard so much about, in a movie. I love the whole mutant people thing (lol). Probably not as much as my lady friends (aka Hugh Jackman, what a great body to aspire to lol). And so we’re clear, I am definitely going to watch the rest of the X-Men movies because of this movie. The movie made $87 million this weekend. Damnnn.
17 Again: First thing’s first. Zac Efron was as awesome as expected. And what a great movie to start the rest of your career with…as in this movie was so much more than just Zac Efron’s first lead role in a non-HSM movie…it was actually great! It was funny, charming, and just cute. You could think of it as 13 Going on 30 with a male lead, but you’d be doing the movie a disservice. Both movies are certainly similar, but they’re not the same. Go see it and see for yourself. Very well done. Oh and it was so great to see Matthew Perry on the big screen again. Very Chandler-y (loved it).
I should start seeing double features more often. P.S. I’m like one of the only people at my school who isn’t dealing with finals right now. Like I’m literally typing this review in the library..as I watch others desperately studying for finals, completing papers, or just going crazy. Good luck friends!
“We need to move the wedding up for Izzy”…because she’s going to die?
Saturday, May 2nd, 2009
This week’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy was just beautiful. Strong. Happy. Sad. One of a kind. So much insight into Meredith’s life. A step forward in Izzy’s cancer battle (and another scare ahead?). The episode was just really deep and if you didn’t get it then, you need to get into Grey-vision ASAP. When the pieces come together, it really is a great show.
But seriously. What’s going on with Izzy? I guess this is going to go into the season finale. I’m getting nervous. Please don’t kill Izzy. And if you are going to kill Izzy, think about the consequences. It seems like a lose-lose situation really. If you keep Izzy on, you’re potentially sending out a false message of hope to similar people in such a serious situation. If you kill Izzy off, you’re sending out a very real message to the world. Cancer is serious. But you’d also be killing off one of your original characters (I don’t think that has ever done a show good…in my eyes).
There’s good and bad to both situations. But honestly I prefer to bring out the fighter in Izzy. The right thing to do is fight. Don’t give up. Don’t let Izzy give up. Fight. Seriously.
